How to become a successful IT Professional


The following characteristics are key to become a successful IT Professional :



Adaptable 
Technology keeps changing so that we must be able to adjust and to learn new technologies, programs and other platforms because of rapidly changes of technologies thru globalization and innovation.  
Eagerness to Learn 
Having a desire or willingness to learn new things to be more qualified and wants to be up to date with the development, innovation and changes of technologies, or being more professional in IT world and/or having a passion or desire on improving yourself.  
Teachable 
Being fast learner and observant. Willingness to take an advice, correction and accepting mistakes and criticism, take direction so that you can think about it and how will you decide and act on a different way in the future. 
Team Player 
Having an ability and willingness to impart knowledge and help others. Sharing knowledge helps you to enhance, improve their trust on you aside from that you’re building your professional reputation towards on having a higher position in your company. 
Ethical/Trusted 
Being ethical as an IT professional must act and do things in a right way because he/she is the one who is trusted to crack to infiltrate an organisation’s networks and/or computer systems using the same information and equipment as an ethical or decent hacker, but in a lawful and rightful manner. 


Enthusiastic 
Having knowledge and skills are significant, although if it is conduct in a positive and exciting way or manner to the people around you it’ll affect your workplace. Solving issue in a positive way is the right way nobody wants a workplace with a negative atmosphere and negative person. Being enthusiastic is important if you want to nurture your career. 
Tips to become successful in your career 
1. Prioritize your goals .  prioritize your goals is by using a time forecast for each goal. 
 As you ask yourself how you will benefit, here are some other ways of thinking about “benefits” that will assist you:  
The more positive reasons you can think of, the more willing you’ll be to take action toward your goals! Remember, you have to build self-motivation – it doesn’t come easy. 
2. Be determined 
Remove all the distractions and hindrances therefore you have the moment to strictly focus on your everyday jobs and profession. 
3. Expand your knowledge, talent and skills 
Keep informed or be up-to-date with your knowledge, talent and skills. Seek out for improvement and go to seminars, training, conferencestudy books, be a never-ending learner. 
4. Go out and meet people 
Be open to new associates, connections, friends and deal with them politely and willingly. Be an dynamic listener; you will definitely discover new things and ideas. 
5. Know your Strengths and Weaknesses 
Be familiar with your strengths and weaknesses. If you believe you be worthy of a position or endorsement, claim it! 
6. Challenge Accepted! 
Throughout challenge you will know unknown areas of your individuality you have certainly not revealed before. It is a good idea to step out of your safe zone to discover new things. If you patch up into a habit of play it safe all the circumstances, under no circumstances you will never get forward in your chosen career. 
7. Communication 
Learn to be in touch effectively. take note on what others say and focus on how to present and accept constructive feedback, to make somebody believe you effectively and to ask for assistance and gather information. 
8. Stay away from tittle-tattle (gossip) 
let alone workplace gossip concerning colleagues and the superior. Be polite and work for the good of the company.  
9. Lighten up 
unwind and do something different, a relaxation that you love doing. Take time off for yourself. This will help out increase your efficiency throughout week days. 
10. Seek out fulfillment 
If you are upset with what you are doing, try to change it into something you love. If you not succeed, it might be a good initiative to do something diverseAs Confucius said: 'Choose a job you love, and you will never have to work a day in your life.
