First, what is OS? An operating system or OS is a software program software program that deals with the communication and operation between computer hardware and computer software. Basically, it is the heart of a computer system.


Examples of computer operating systems · Microsoft Windows – An operating system for PC. Microsoft Windows is the most common used Operating System.
· Apple macOS - Apple Mac operating system. Today, the only Apple computer operating system is macOS. · Ubuntu Linux - A popular variant of Linux used with PC and IBM compatible computers. · Google Android - Operating system used with Android compatible phones and tablets. · iOS – an Operating system used in Apple iPhone and iPads.
Today, many versions of operating systems are released and available to use. Let’s find out what is the top operating system for PC, tablets and smartphones. As of August 2016, Windows is the most popular desktop computer operating system. However, Android is the most popular operating system if you include all mobile devices.

For PC,
